The Sterntaler editorial team presents:
12minutes
Dr. Annalena Dehé & Dr. med. Lukas Dehé
How it all began...
First aid is a matter close to the heart for Annalena and Lukas. For many years, they have been active as emergency doctors on emergency vehicles and a rescue helicopter, helping where it is most urgently needed. In hundreds of missions, they have found that many things could have been improved through competent first aid on site. Critical emergency situations can often even be prevented with prompt action.
In the following post, we would like to introduce you to the story and the idea of 12minutes...
Why is it called 12minutes?
An ambulance takes an average of 12 minutes to arrive
at the patient. The brain is permanently damaged after just 3-5 minutes.
What is the idea behind 12minutes?
First aid is different for babies or children than for adults. It is especially emotional when your own child needs help. Therefore, it is all the more important to regularly practice and go through the emergency situation. For this purpose, the team has developed a emergency training doll that parents are sent home with to practically practice the most important measures.
Who founded 12minutes?
Dr. med. Annalena Dehé (specialist in internal medicine) and Dr. med. Lukas Dehé (specialist in anesthesiology) are themselves parents of twins and want to show other parents that first aid can also be practiced at home. First aid is their heartfelt concern. For many years, they have been active as emergency doctors on emergency medical service vehicles and on a rescue helicopter to help.
Which courses are offered?
The courses were specifically developed for parents and can be conveniently booked from home and watched. In addition to the detailed video courses, all participants also receive their own emergency training doll to directly apply the measures.
