Terms of Participation

In the following, personal designations apply equally to persons of male and female gender.

By participating in the prize draw, you accept the following terms of participation:

  1. Organizer of the prize draw is Sterntaler GmbH, Werkstrasse 6-8, 65599 Dornburg-Dorndorf, Phone: +49 (0) 6436-509-0, service@sterntaler.com.
  2. The prize draw begins on 02.04.2024 and ends on 09.04.2024.
  3. The following prizes will be raffled: 1 x 20% off everything, 1 x 15% off everything, 2 x 12% off everything, 1 x 20% off sleeping bags, 1 x 10€ discount on a purchase value of 50€.
  4. Eligible to participate are natural persons who are of full age (i.e. at least 18 years old) and fully capable of business at the time of participation ("participants") and whose place of residence is in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. Employees of Sterntaler GmbH and other persons involved in the implementation of the prize draw as well as their relatives are excluded from participation. Persons who use unauthorized aids or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation (e.g. by using prize draw machines) are also excluded. In such cases, prizes may be revoked and/or reclaimed afterwards.
  5. Participation consists of spinning the wheel of fortune on the online shop’s website. First, the terms of participation must be accepted.
  6. Each participant may only take part in the prize draw once. Irregular or repeated participation by a participant will result in exclusion from the game.
  7. Participation in the prize draw is free of charge and independent of the purchase of goods or services. Participants only bear the costs associated with participation via the internet (usage fees for internet connection).
  8. The winners will be determined by random selection and only among those participants who have complied with the terms of participation.
  9. The winner will receive a notification immediately after spinning the wheel of fortune, informing whether a voucher has been won or not. In case of a win, the discounts can be redeemed within the promotional week in the shopping cart of the Sterntaler online shop.
  10. A cash payment of the prize or an exchange of the prize is not possible. The prize is non-transferable. The claim to the prize expires if the prize is not redeemed within the promotional week in the shopping cart of the Sterntaler online shop.
  11. Sterntaler GmbH reserves the right to suspend or end the prize draw wholly or partly ahead of time if this is necessary for reasonable reasons, especially due to technical or legal reasons. Sterntaler GmbH will make use of this option particularly if a proper execution of the prize draw cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in hardware and/or software) or legal reasons. Participants have no claims against Sterntaler GmbH arising from this. If such a disruption of the prize draw is culpably caused by the behavior of a participant, Sterntaler GmbH may claim compensation for the damage caused.
  12. The liability of Sterntaler GmbH, its bodies, employees, and vicarious agents arising from or in connection with the prize draw, regardless of the legal grounds, is limited to intent or gross negligence, except for personal injury, expressly declared guarantees, or damages under the Product Liability Act. This limitation of liability applies in particular to damages caused by errors, delays, or interruptions in transmission, technical malfunctions and service interruptions, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data, or viruses. Sterntaler GmbH is not liable for material and/or legal defects of the awarded prizes.
  13. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Furthermore, mandatory provisions, especially of the law of the state in which the participant has their habitual residence, remain unaffected, provided the participant is a consumer.

Legal recourse is excluded with regard to the drawing of winners and any assessment of the content of submitted prize draw entries.

  1. Should individual provisions of the terms of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms of participation shall remain unaffected. They shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely corresponds to the purpose of the invalid provision.

Data Protection Information:

The processing of data during participation in the promotion is carried out by Sterntaler GmbH. You can reach the data protection officer of Sterntaler GmbH at datenschutz@sterntaler.com. The data processing is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, as the data processing is necessary for the execution of the promotion. After the promotion ends, all stored data will be deleted. Your personal data, which you provide to us within the scope of the promotion, will only be collected, processed, and used for the purpose of carrying out the promotion. The execution and handling is done by Sterntaler GmbH, which collects, stores, and uses the data necessary for the execution of the promotion in compliance with data protection regulations. You have the right at any time to request information about your stored data. Furthermore, if the legal requirements are met, you have the right to correction, blocking, or deletion of your data and to the transferability of provided data. You can revoke your consent to the storage and use of the collected data at any time with effect for the future at info@sterntaler.com. Please contact our data protection officer directly regarding the assertion of your rights. You may also file a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time.
