Terms and Conditions of Participation
The designations of persons used below apply equally to persons of all genders.
By participating in the prize draw, you accept the following terms and conditions of participation:
- The organizer of the prize draw is Sterntaler GmbH, Werkstrasse 6-8, 65599 Dornburg-Dorndorf, Phone: +49 (0) 6436-509-0, service@sterntaler.com.
- The prize draw begins on 24 December 2025 and ends on 7 January 2025.
- The following prize will be awarded: A voucher for an eventful weekend holiday (2 nights) for the whole family (2 adults and 2 children aged 0–15) including the “Genießer-Zeit” wellness package at the four-star superior hotel ULRICHSHOF Nature • Family • Design in the Bavarian Forest.
- Eligible participants are natural persons who, at the time of participation, are of legal age (i.e. at least 18 years old) and have unlimited legal capacity (“participants”), and whose place of residence is in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Employees of Sterntaler GmbH and other persons involved in implementing the prize draw, as well as their relatives, are excluded from participation. Persons who use unauthorized aids or otherwise obtain an advantage through manipulation (e.g. by using prize-draw machines) are also excluded. In such cases, prizes may also be subsequently revoked and/or reclaimed.
- To participate, entrants must follow Sterntaler’s social media channel on which the prize draw takes place (Facebook or Instagram), as well as the social media channel of the cooperation partner ULRICHSHOF Nature • Family • Design, and follow and link the channels (Facebook or Instagram), like the prize-draw post, and post a comment as requested below the post.
- Each participant may enter the prize draw only once. Any participation in violation of the rules or repeated participation by a participant will result in exclusion from the prize draw.
- Participation in the prize draw is free of charge and is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services. Participants are solely responsible for any costs associated with participating via the internet (internet connection fees).
- The winner will be selected at random from among those participants who have complied with the terms and conditions of participation. If there are several entries, the winner will be determined by drawing lots.
- The winner will be contacted promptly by the official company account @sterntalergmbh and asked to verify their contact details. Passing the winner’s data on to ULRICHSHOF Nature • Family • Design (ULRICHSHOF & Co. KG | Zettisch 42 | 93485 Rimbach) is necessary for sending the voucher, further coordination and booking.
- Cash payment of the prize’s value or exchanging the prize is not possible. The prize is non-transferable. The right to the prize expires if delivery of the prize cannot take place within four (4) weeks of its dispatch for reasons attributable to the winner.
- Sterntaler GmbH reserves the right to suspend the prize draw in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently, or to end it early if this is reasonably necessary, particularly for technical or legal reasons. Sterntaler GmbH will make use of this option in particular if proper execution of the prize draw cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons. Participants shall have no claims against Sterntaler GmbH as a result. If such an interruption to the prize draw is culpably caused by a participant’s conduct, Sterntaler GmbH may demand compensation from that participant for the resulting damage.
- The liability of Sterntaler GmbH, its governing bodies, employees and vicarious agents arising from or in connection with the prize draw, irrespective of the legal basis, is limited to intent or gross negligence, except in the case of personal injury, expressly declared guarantees or damage within the scope of the German Product Liability Act. The above limitation of liability applies in particular to damage caused by errors, delays or interruptions in transmission, malfunctions of technical equipment and services, inaccurate content, loss or deletion of data, or viruses. Sterntaler GmbH is not liable for defects in title or material defects in the prizes offered.
- The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. Mandatory provisions, in particular those of the law of the country in which the participant has their habitual residence, shall remain unaffected insofar as the participant is a consumer.
The right of recourse to the courts is excluded with regard to the drawing of the winners and any assessment of the content of the submitted prize-draw entries.
- Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions of participation shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects its purpose.
Data Protection Information:
Data processing when participating in the promotion is carried out by Sterntaler GmbH. You can contact Sterntaler GmbH’s data protection officer at datenschutz@sterntaler.com. The data is processed on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as data processing is necessary to carry out the promotion. All stored data will be deleted after the promotion has ended. Your personal data that you provide to us as part of the promotion (first and last name, email address, postal code, place of residence and other personal data) is collected, processed and used solely for the purpose of carrying out the promotion. The promotion is carried out and administered by Sterntaler GmbH, which collects, stores and uses the data necessary for carrying out the promotion in compliance with data protection requirements. The winner’s personal data will also be transmitted to Hotel ULRICHSHOF Nature • Family • Design for the purpose of administering the prize. You have the right at any time to obtain information about your stored data. In addition, where the statutory requirements are met, you have the right to request the rectification, restriction or deletion of your data and the portability of data you have provided. You may withdraw your consent to the storage and use of the collected data at any time with effect for the future by contacting info@sterntaler.com. Please contact our data protection officer directly to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time.
