The Sterntaler sleeping bags have been a fixed part of the range since the late 90s and provide our darlings night after night with an optimal feel-good climate. When the EU standards for baby and children's sleeping bags were adjusted, we made it our task to revise and optimize the entire sleeping bag concept. This allowed us to integrate numerous innovative features.
All new highlights at a glance:
Highest wearing comfort through proven cuts: The cut has been further optimized to provide even more safety. Additionally, the neck openings have been adjusted to prevent the child from slipping inside the Sleeping Bag. All Sterntaler Sleeping Bags are made from soft fabrics such as muslin, cotton jersey, or a cotton blend fabric.

Intermediate sizes and newborn sizes:
The size concept of Sterntaler sleeping bags has also been greatly expanded. The inner sleeping bag and the baby sleeping bag are already available in size 44 cm and thus now also available for preemies. The popular sleeping bag sizes 80 cm and 100 cm are now firmly established in the range.
Two-way zipper:
The practical two-way zipper allows parents to open the Sleeping Bag from the top or bottom, making diaper changes and dressing easier. The zipper end is covered by a protective fabric flap.
Integrated Cuffs:
The new, integrated cuffs in our long-sleeved Sleeping Bags keep little hands warm and protect against nighttime scratching. This innovation was especially important to us to provide children with sensitive skin the right Sleeping Bag.
„HYDROCOOL®“ technology: An outstanding feature is the „Hydrocool®“ technology, which ensures a consistently pleasant and dry wearing comfort, supports moisture transport and the
child's own body heat regulation. This is especially important to ensure that babies do not sweat or overheat in their Sleeping Bag, but feel completely comfortable
All Sterntaler Sleeping Bags meet the safety requirements and are tested according to the European standard and its testing procedures for children's sleeping bags (DIN EN 16781).
Great support from experts
In the development of the new sleeping bags, our Sterntaler team was supported by Tina Rapp - family nurse and baby expert – someone who, through her work with families, knows exactly from practice what needs to be improved. With her expertise, she was a great help to us in the redesign of our sleeping bag concept. Additionally, we sent first models to parents and hospitals to incorporate all wishes from their feedback that now make our sleeping bags perfect. The Importance of the TOG Value
The TOG value continues to play an important role in the new sleeping bags. TOG is the unit of measurement for the thermal resistance of textiles. The higher this value, the warmer the sleeping bag is. The TOG value and the room temperature should be adjusted to the child's thermal comfort and not solely based on the season.
Whether the child is cold or sweating can best be checked at the neck. Accordingly, lighter or warmer clothing should be chosen under the sleeping bag. If the child is wearing an inner and outer sleeping bag, both TOG values must be added to get the final value.
Overall, the new Sterntaler sleeping bags are an optimal solution to put your little one to sleep safely and securely – and to give you as parents a reassuring feeling.
