Sterntaler Sleeping Bag Concept

The new sleeping bag concept offers many new great functions as well as practical intermediate and newborn sizes. Here you will find all the innovations at a glance!

The Sterntaler sleeping bags have been a fixed part of the range since the late 1990s and provide our darlings night after night with an ideal comfort climate. When the EU standards for baby and children's sleeping bags were adjusted, we made it our task to revise and improve the entire sleeping bag concept. This allowed us to integrate numerous innovative features.

All new highlights at a glance:

Highest wearing comfort through proven cuts: The cut design has been further optimized to offer even more safety. Additionally, the neck openings have been adjusted to prevent the child from slipping inside the Sleeping Bag. All Sterntaler Sleeping Bags are made from soft fabrics such as muslin, cotton jersey, or a cotton blend fabric.

Intermediate sizes and newborn sizes:
The size range of the Sterntaler sleeping bags has also been greatly expanded. The inner sleeping bag and the baby sleeping bag are now available in size 44 cm, making them suitable for premature babies as well. The popular sleeping bag sizes 80 cm and 100 cm are now firmly established in the range.

Two-way zipper:
The practical two-way zipper allows parents to open the sleeping bag from the top or bottom, making diaper changing and dressing easier. The zipper end is covered by a protective fabric flap.

Integrated Cuffs:
The new, integrated cuffs in our long-sleeved Sleeping Bags keep little hands warm and protect against scratching during the night. This innovation was especially important to us to offer children with sensitive skin the right Sleeping Bag.

„HYDROCOOL®“ Technology: An outstanding feature is the „Hydrocool®“ technology, which ensures a consistently pleasant and dry wearing comfort, supports moisture transport and the child's natural body heat regulation. This is especially important to ensure that babies do not sweat or overheat in their Sleeping Bag, but feel completely comfortable.

All Sterntaler Sleeping Bags meet the safety requirements and have been tested according to the European standard and its testing procedures for children's sleeping bags (DIN EN 16781).

The Meaning of the TOG Value

The TOG value continues to play an important role in the new sleeping bags. TOG is the unit of measurement for the thermal resistance of textiles. The higher this value, the warmer the sleeping bag. The TOG value and the room temperature should be matched to the child’s sense of warmth and not be based solely on the season.

Whether the child is cold or sweating can best be checked at the nape of the neck. Accordingly, lighter or warmer clothing should be chosen under the sleeping bag. If the child is wearing both an inner and outer sleeping bag, both TOG values must be added together to get the final value.

Overall, the new Sterntaler sleeping bags are an ideal solution to lay your little one down to sleep safely and snugly – and to give you as parents a comforting feeling.
