The Sterntaler editorial team presents:
12 minutes
Dr. Annalena Dehé & Dr. med. Lukas Dehé
How it all began...
First aid is a matter close to the heart for Annalena and Lukas. For many years, they have been active as emergency doctors on emergency vehicles and a rescue helicopter, helping where it is needed most urgently. In hundreds of missions, they have found that many situations could have been improved through competent first aid on site. Critical emergency situations can often be prevented through prompt action.
In the following post, we would like to introduce you to the story and the idea behind 12minutes...
Why is it called 12minutes?
An ambulance takes an average of 12 minutes to arrive at the patient’s location.
The brain can suffer permanent damage after just 3-5 minutes.
What is the idea behind 12minutes?
First aid is different for babies or children than for adults. It is especially emotional when your own child needs help. Therefore, it is all the more important to regularly practice and review emergency situations. For this purpose, the team has developed an emergency training doll that parents receive at home to practically practice the most important measures.
Who founded 12minutes?
Dr. med. Annalena Dehé (specialist in internal medicine) and Dr. med. Lukas Dehé (specialist in anesthesiology) are parents of twins themselves and want to show other parents that first aid can also be practiced at home. First aid is their passion. For many years, they have been active as emergency physicians on emergency response vehicles and on a rescue helicopter to provide help.
Which courses are offered?
The courses have been specifically designed for parents and can be conveniently booked from home and watched. In addition to the detailed video courses, all participants also receive their own emergency training doll to practice the procedures directly. The content is based on many years of experience with emergencies involving babies and children. The topics include, among others:
